Dupont Denied Writ of Certiorari in Benlate Fungicide Case
The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear the appeal of a Hawaiian case which was found in favor of the plant growers who brought the suit against Dupont.
The case is a continuation of product liability litigation begun in 1994. Dupont has already awarded $10 million dollars to the plaintiffs and over $1 billion in all settlements relating to Benlate damage claims. The current portion of the case alleges the withholding of evidence that explores the negative effects of Benlate fungicide on crops.
