Hit-And-Run Takes the Life of Young Girl

Police in Atlanta, Georgia have successfully apprehended a 23-year-old man involved in a hit-and-run accident that resulted in the death of an 11-year-old girl. Tory Fairchild faces many serious charges including felony murder, vehicular homicide and theft by receiving a stolen vehicle. The young girl, Terriona Ison, died after being struck by a stolen car as she walked across the street near her home. “This incident has been a tragedy for the whole neighborhood,” police spokesman Joe Cobb said. “We got so many tips about it, we spent a lot of time running them down,” Cobb related. “We had everyone in the zone helping out with the investigation, as well as the hit-and-run fatality investigators.”

Hit-And-Run Victim Laid to Rest

The funeral for young Terriona Ison took place on Saturday, January 20. Many family, friends and members of the community came to The Cathedral of Faith Church of God in Christ in order to say goodbye. Both adults and children were very emotional at the service. Friends and family remembered Terriona as a star student who was on the honor roll, a dance team member and a part of the safety patrol. “She was a nice, kind, loving young girl. I wanted everybody to get close to God and pray,” said Terriona’s cousin, Marteia Johnson.
