Buena Park Police Search for Hit-And-Run Driver

Police investigators in Buena Park, California are searching for the driver of a small, dark-colored car. Investigators believe the car was involved in a hit-and-run accident with a bicyclist on Wednesday, December 27. The police received a call Wednesday evening reporting a bicyclist lying injured in the center of the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Valley View Street. The victim was rushed to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange County to receive emergency treatment.

Bicyclist Injured in Hit-And-Run Accident

The bicyclist prognosis is positive and he is expected to survive. Police Sergeant Rich Pena said that initial interviews with witnesses indicated that after the car hit the victim, the driver continued to drive away without stopping. “This could have been intentional,” Pena said.
