An accident at a paper mill in Gilman, Vermont resulted in a worker being killed after he was pinned down by machinery. The accident occurred at the Dirigo Paper Company. The worker, Gary Brown, was performing some routine maintenance early in the morning when he became trapped between the front and the bucket of a skid steer. Emergency personnel rushed Gary to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center by helicopter but he died while undergoing emergency treatment. Officials with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are continuing their investigation to decide what actually caused the accident.
