Seatbelt Saves Driver From Serious Injury in Roll-over Crash
A rollover accident in Columbia City, Indiana resulted in serious injuries to five teenagers. The accident occurred as 16-year-old Michelle A. Cox, driving at a high rate of speed, lost control of her vehicle. According to a police spokesman, “We believe they rolled [the car] at least five times….there should have been at least four people dead.” Four out of the five teenagers were ejected from the car and sustained serious injuries. The driver, who was the only one wearing a seatbelt, was not ejected from the car and received the most minor injuries.
