Their son was a victim of a serious brain injury, cardiopulmonary arrest and severe neurological damage. The parents of Omar Castaneda Cortez brought him to a government clinic for a monthly checkups. The medical practitioners there failed to realize that the child’s head circumference had increased 10 centimeters over the course of two months. This failure resulted in the child’s serious brain injuries.
