Nicholas Cage has won and apology and damages from actress Kathleen Turner following the claims she made about him in her autobiography. The actress not only said that the actor had twice been arrested for drunk driving, but also that he had once stolen a chihuahua.

Not that Nicholas Cage read Ms Turner's autobiography; the offending piece appeared in English newspaper, The Daily Mail, which serialized the book. The extract appeared under the headline, "Why I hate Burt Reynolds and Nicholas Cage."

Hmm - perhaps she'll write a sequel - "Why I hate Nicholas Cage even more than before."
