Construction, Repairs Continue at Accident Site

Repairs still are underway six months after two office buildings were damaged in a fatal construction-crane accident in Bellevue, Washington. The falling crane caused businesses at Plaza 305 to relocate while construction took place; however, several of the businesses hopefully will be able to return to their original locations in the next few months.

The other building involved in the accident, Civica Office Commons, was able to be repaired to the extent that businesses could return. Dan Ivanoff, the managing investment partner at Schnitzer Northwest, says that repairs have been a long process: "I think it's going to be a long, drawn-out, painful deal. When they start tearing panels off, we'll have a hole in our wall again."
