Auburn Student Suffers Heart Attack While Working
Matthew Tanner, a 23-year-old Auburn University student, suffered an unexpected heart attack while working at a construction site in Georgia as a part of his summer job. Tanner was working in a manhole when he suffered the apparent heart attack. Authorities are blaming a lack of oxygen.
Tanner's family and friends still are trying to come to terms with his death. Daniel Miller, Tanner's best friend, says that "Matthew was just a good guy." Reverend Herbert Brown of Southside Baptist Church in Greenville, says that his congregation is struggling to understand Matthew's death: "I had the privilege of baptizing Matthew and knowing that his relationship with the Lord was solid and secure," he said. "And then just to watch him grow into a fine young man has been a blessing to me."
