One Killed, One Injured at Ethanol Construction Site

One man was killed and another was injured after a crane collapsed at the site where an ethanol refinery is being constructed. The accident happened at the construction site for the White Energy Ethanol Refinery in Hereford. Laray Lee Tidmore, 39, from Idabel, Oklahoma, died at the scene from massive head injuries.

James Lytle, 40, from Oak Grove, Louisiana was injured and was taken by helicopter ambulance to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo. The two men had been trying to add another section to the crane when the crane collapsed. Both men were employees of Fagen, Inc.
