Mall Construction Accident Injures Workers
Two men, who were working on an expansion of the Neiman Marcus department store at Lenox Square Mall in Georgia, were injured when a wall collapsed. Firefighters came to rescue the men soon after the collapse and removed the debris surrounding the men. Lt. Jimmy Hodges, from the Atlanta Fire Department, said that the men "were coherent, but we basically treated the injured and transported them. It has not been determined why the wall collapsed."
One of the men injured his wrist and the other suffered a minor head injury. The accident will be investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Construction resumed as soon as the debris was removed.
